please don't flame me!
cause i love these movies
honourable mentions: love actually, moulin rouge
15. The Matrix - keanu was sick. connection was sick. the lobby scene was real sick.
14. Pearl Harbor - come on. josh hartnett and ben affleck flying planes? jenn garner AND my kate tending to their wounds? enough said
13. Star Wars : The Phantom Menace - Darth Maul coolest villain ever. natalie portman making her entry into my life! the light saber scene with qui-gon and young obi-wan kenobi dannngg.
12. Underworld 1 and 2 - just love the concept and ofcourse kate beckinsale in leather doesn't hurt. im into that whole oh-so-powerful overlord dealie
11. Face Off /The Rock- i love nick cage and john travolta. who is who!! who is the bad guy!! who knows? and in the rock with sean connery. shooting guns, explosions, car chases, jailtime, OPA!
10. The Last Samurai - i didn't think i'd like this movie, but tbh i loved it (except for the fact that the last samurai turns out to be the white guy!). Woulda liked to see more of the ninjas, though.
9. 007 James Bond: world is not enough, die another day - im so into that espionnage crap! with cool gadgets and nice cars/women and ofcourse, sneaking around with one gun and a black/white suit! what style!
8. Jerry Maguire - renee and tom so cute. with a look into the life of a sports agent and the brutal truth that its a dog eat dog world out there. but they had me at hello. awww!
7. Batman Begins - i didn't know bruce wayne trained to be a ninja! he is SO much cooler now.
6. Monsters inc. - SULLY AND MIKE WAZOWSKI!! and the hidden world of closet monsters.
5. Zoolander - okok don't run me over just yet. i don't care what anybody says. i loved this movie. i've never LOL-ed so much in a PACKED movie theatre before. i swear. EVERY scene inspired some sort of cackle, giggle, or chuckle from me. i guess you now have a sense of what makes me laugh if you didn't know me. and if you did know me already, then this shouldn't be a surprise :)
4. The Gladiator - Russell Crowe is so sick. I love the man-in-power turned slave who rises back-to-power dealie. It would've been soooo much cooler if he actually got to his armies and brought them back to Rome to take over! it was a bittersweet ending. amazing, but bittersweet.
3. Pirates of the Carribean - never knew i'd like this one as much as i did either, but left the theatre with a feeling of...wow! keira knightley, orlando bloom, johnny depp? sweeet! with hardy-har-har pirates running around on boats with hidden treasure and the reject pirates on the run with curses! joyyy
2. Armageddon - bruce willis was sarcastic. ben affleck was dreamy. liv tyler was to die for. Billy Bob had Angelina! with the cast of reject oil diggers that have gone on to shine in so many other movies. This movie showcased them. (Owen Wilson, the big black guy, the crazy eyed guy, etcetc). With Aerosmith heading up your soundtrack and a fool proof story; this movie was sure to make it!
Made me cry when bruce pushed ben back into the elevator thingy. Reminds me of the love that graces us everyday. And ofcourse, when ben and liv finally see eachother again! just makes me want to kick someone.
1. Lord of the Rings: Fellowship, Two Towers, Return of the King - fantasy movies are so cool. With the anticipation going into each movie, it was an amazing feeling coming out with a sense of expectations surpassed. I loved the first one, even more the second, and EVEN more so the third installment. The 3 movies in one showed the continuity of the story and captivated me each time i saw them. The perserverence and triumph through and at the end of each battle was felt so clearly. I loved how the races banded together at times to face evil. It is a great sight to see when people come to their senses. The horses scene coming "from the east" at the end of two towers gave me such an adrenaline rush, as did the arrival of Rohan at the end of Return of the King at Minas Tirith. The only thing i didnt really like too much was the part where the undead army comes in and overruns everything. That was sooo cheap and such a bail out. I've watched each movie about 11-13 times each. if you would do the math, thats about 4 full days of my life for 3 movies. I enjoyed every second of it.
p.s
worst movie of all time:
KUNG POW - oh dear god. that is all i have to say about this one. i definitely got dumber after watching this.
